The challenge this week was water!  I really liked this one.  I went out to the courtyard in my apartment complex to snap some shots of the fountain and played around with the ISO:

Click Chicks: Week 3

The challenge this week was nature!  I took my camera out to Davis to the marsh and have my three favorite photos to share:

If you look close enough you can see Sacramento in the distance in the middle picture.  I love the top picture.  I really like pictures where the background is out of focus.   We have a challenge coming up in a few weeks which will allow me to practice that skill :)  Stay tuned!

Feb Birch

Linking up with these lovely girls to show what I am getting in my Birchbox this month! I actually haven't received it yet due to the storm on the east coast earlier in the month. So I cheated and here's what's coming!
Excited because I've gotten twistband hair ties & color club polish before and loved them both! I have high expectations for the headbands and can't wait to see what color nail polish I get. I could do without the chocolate, but oh my gosh there is no nail polish YAY. Not thrilled about the body gel since I am addicted to Lush bath products haha. And I always love trying new face products. Overall, I'd say it's a pretty good month!

Lent

Lent begins today and this year I am giving up online shopping.  This should save me not only money, but lots of time spent browsing on Amazon, Kate Spade, Target, Birchbox, Shoedazzle, Groupon...etc. I feel like it is going to be difficult, but that's kind of the point!  My credit card will be happy until Easter!

Click Chicks is a weekly photo challenge linkup where we can all share our pictures and hopefully learn some new skills! Week one is a self portrait... which I felt I couldn't do without a mirror shot.

I got this camera a couple years ago and I absolutely love it! I definitely don't use it as much as I'd like to, so I'm really excited about this weekly challenge.

Super Bowl

Even though the 49ers lost, we still enjoyed the game, the commercials and the food! That Amy Poehler ad for Best Buy was great!! And I love Paul Rudd, so the Samsung people get points for that. Still hate GoDaddy and not sure how they afford so many ads on game day! What were your favorites?
