Blog Star! Hi, I'm Lindsay

Linking up with my lover, Mrs. Monologues!  (Peer pressure!)  Here are some things to know about me:

1. I love any excuse to dress up.  I've hosted many themed parties.  Halloween is my favorite holiday.  I already have two costumes planned for this year!
2. I think Kristin Wiig is the funniest person ever.  We share the same birthday.  I also think that is partly why I am so funny.  
3. I live and breathe Big Brother all summer long.  This is the newest addition to my Chilltown swag.  
4. I have an unhealthy obsession with Taylor Swift.  Everyone knows it.  I'm not ashamed.  (I also took that photo at her concert.)
5. My birthday is in a few weeks and I am really excited!  I might be the only person I know who enjoys getting older.  
6. LOVE wine tasting!!  Went this weekend with Mrs. Monologues and Bekah!  We had so much fun!  Ikea, food trucks & wine tasting!  Perfect day!
7. Love country music and cowboys and cowboy boots.  Trying to save up for a real pair of boots!

Old Sugar Mill

Went to a nice event out at the Old Sugar Mill, which is home to many different wineries.  Did some tastings, bought some wine, had some food truck food.  Perfect day.

Linking up this week to share my new Julep colors! (Check out Julep here.) Couldn't decide which one so I tried a few. I'm really loving this polish! It goes on easy and so far no chipping. Silver rocks. Gold is pretty. Green is awesome. Waiting to try blue next! And my toes are purple. #addict

This is my new favorite color! I got it in my birchbox this month. I don't know why it's called blue-ming because it's more green than blue. By Color Club. Ignore the actual blue nails on the pic of me holding the polish haha.

Sunday Social: Handbags

I missed a good Sunday Social last week!  Have to participate this weekend... I have a new handbag obsession.

Favorite handbag you've ever owned?  My Kate Spade New York Map tote (that's not the official name, but that's what it is!) and my newer Spade.

Dream handbag you lust over?  Not a bag, but for about 4 months I've been dying for this 

clutch to come out and it will be available in August!  Bday gift to myself!  Can you tell that I love Kate?

Daily essentials in your purse or work bag? Chapstick & allergy pills! I also keep my Dr. Scholl's For Her in my bag in case I need them for my shoes at work.  You put these strips on the inside of the shoe where it rubs your feet and you won't get blisters and it makes them comfy.

This lil pink one is from Shoedazzle.  Love it.

What's in your purse? wallet, kindle, sunglasses, the things mentioned above, ibu profen, and on weekends I like to have a nice bright lipstick.

July Birchbox Brag

Linking up to share my box. I just got it last night, so no time to try anything. Overall it's a pretty good month! I'm excited for everything except the perfume. Not sure why they need to add that in every box. I have so many samples!! And the nail polish is the mint color I've been dying for! Earbuds are rockin. I hope they work well. Oh and I'm super stoked to try the Suki regimen! It's like 5 products instead of 1.

Sunday Social: Television

Yeah, I'm gonna say this is my favorite link up!  Love the questions each week, plus I have found some amazing new blogs to follow!  THANK YOU Neely & Ashley!

Warning:  I watch a lot of TV. It was really hard to pick only a few for each. I could go on and on :)

Favorite TV show of the past?  Seinfeld.  Still one of my favorite shows, but it's technically from the past.  And Boy Meets World, Gilligan's Island, I Dream of Jeannie & Bewitched.

Favorite TV show currently?  Well, this week it is a tie between Big Brother, White Collar and Breaking Bad because they are all back this week!  I like a lot of shows.  See post HERE.  But if I had to pick ONE it would be NCIS.  Or Dexter. Or Breaking Bad.  That's a really great show.  And SATC/Friends/Parks & Rec.  Okay, I'm done.

Which Reality Show would you NEVER do?  All of them.  Except Big Brother.

Which Reality Show would you LOVE to do?  Big Brother. 

TV personality/character that you feel is most like you?  I don't think anyone is really like me.  There are characters that I'd like to be more like... such as Lorelai Gilmore or Carrie Bradshaw.  I really feel like Sutton Foster's character on Bunheads is sort of close to how I see myself.  Her sarcasm and humor are pretty amazing.  Like me.  And maybe Chandler Bing too.

TV character you'd want to date?  Neal George Caffrey -- White Collar, played by Matt Bomer.  And Barney Stinson.

Pinterest inspired beverage: pour champagne, or sparkling wine, over Popsicles then voila... Flavored champagne!
I tried it with pomegranate and it was quite tasty. People had issues with the Popsicle stick, but once it melted a little it was okay. The overall consensus was to not use a wine glass (although it looks prettier) and use a regular glass so that you can easily hold the stick to the side with your finger while you're drinking. I love it!
Perfect for summer.

Blue Me Away

Linking up (it's been a while!) with Tara and Vicki to share my July nails. It's called "Blue Me Away." Not sure why, but I'm way into blue and teal nails lately. I ended up loving the yellow nails and kept those for a couple weeks. What do you think about this color?
