Jambalaya.

Last week, or the week before... can't remember, anyway, I mentioned that I bought some fake ground sausage for jambalaya. Well, I took Friday off work so I could relax and watch the rain so I thought it would be a perfect time to try this out! I have never had jambalaya. I really only know what it is because of Newman on Seinfeld at the end of the 'Soup Nazi' episode. hahaha. Okay, so I really didn't even know what it was, I just knew the name. But it was awesome! Really good spices on pasta + soy sausage. Yum.
Super easy recipe:

*Boil 2 1/2 cups of water with the pasta and seasoning

* Brown "sausage" {or chicken, or shrimp}

* Mix together, let simmer for a few minutes, then enjoy

* If you're lucky, you'll have leftovers :)

Weekend.

Had a great weekend! Went to game night... we all laughed pretty hard the entire time playing "What's Yours Like?" New favorite game. Might be better than "Loaded Questions"... it is definitely harder!

Someone has to guess what the word is. Everyone else knows it. The guesser has to go around and ask each of us, "what's yours like?" And then we describe the word. All the words are things people have... or can easily describe having, i.e. siblings, rake, first date, Christmas tree, junk drawer, college. We can get pretty creative. Best answer from Saturday: Your mom goes there. Answer: COLLEGE. Hilarious. {Napoleon Dynamite reference}

Chelsea Handler's new book is coming out soon.... she is so hysterical! I can't wait to get it.She won't be stopping in Sacramento this year for her tour though. We saw her last year and I have never laughed so hard in my life! I am seriously considering driving to Reno for her.

When I moved into my new place Comcast (ugh) offered me free HBO for a year... how could I turn that down? Well, I couldn't. For the past couple weeks I have been watching a lot of HBO! 'On Demand' mostly, but I am really loving it. They have the movie 17 Again on demand... I can't even say how many times I have watched it. Plus, it aired the other night so I recorded it to make sure I can watch once it isn't offered on demand! haha. I LOVE this movie! Zac Efron is so hot in it. What? He's only a year younger than me.... ;)

And of course my favorite, Leslie Mann. She is hilarious. As his wife. ha. If you haven't seen it, go rent it!

Playing along with my Busy Wife! My Say What Saturday moment didn't occur recently, but has haunted me ever since I saw it! hahaha. I was watching "What Would Brian Boitano Make?" on The Food Network and the whole episode was about BACON. Not only foods with bacon, but they were at a bar doing SHOTS with BACON. Say what!?

"Everyone slams a shot of the bacontini with a followup bite of the bacon. The meat-eaters version of the tequila/lime combo."

I never saw that coming.
