Click Chicks Week 10!

Click Chicks!  The challenge this week was silhouettes.  I googled a tutorial about how to do this in manual and it was really hard!  So I stuck with trees and the auto white balance setting!

 I headed to the capitol at sunset to try to capture some good shots, and this is the best I got!  This was definitely a challenge!  I must have deleted 20 photos!

Click Chicks!  The challenge this week was bokeh, so we all tried to get a pic with a blurry background.  A couple weeks ago it was super nice here so I went for a bike ride with one of my girlfriends around town and stopped for a beverage.  Here is my soy chai with my blurry bike behind it!

Welcome to week 8 of Click Chicks!  The challenge this week was windows... I took some pics of my kitten, Mazel, laying out.   You can see the window!  haha I really like the shadows.  And these turned out pretty well for iPhone shots!

Click Chicks Week 7!

Welcome to week 7 of Click Chicks!  The challenge this week was sunsets... Unfortunately, I didn't get out this weekend and it's been rainy the past couple nights, but I do have my favorite sunset picture to share!  I took this in the summer of 2011 during our last night in Maui <3

I also had it printed on canvas so I can look at it on my wall every single day :)

He has been crazy lately, but he is just so entertaining! I've been laughing so hard ... and snapping pics! He likes to hide and then sneak up on me and he thinks that I can't see him like this.

Click Chicks: Week 6!

Happy St. Patrick's Day (almost)!  The challenge this week was green!  I have a broken clock that is hanging in my living room so I thought it was perfect for this week.  It kept dying over and over, but I really like the shape and color so I can't get rid of it.  SO I have it set at 5 o'clock since it is always 5 o'clock somewhere!  I also have my Margaritaville sign hanging under it :)

Don't mind my reflection. haha.

The challenge this week was shadows!  I wasn't able to get out in the sunshine for this, so I had to capture something indoors.  I have this light near the kitchen that has a pretty cool shadow!

Click Chicks: Week 3

The challenge this week was nature!  I took my camera out to Davis to the marsh and have my three favorite photos to share:

If you look close enough you can see Sacramento in the distance in the middle picture.  I love the top picture.  I really like pictures where the background is out of focus.   We have a challenge coming up in a few weeks which will allow me to practice that skill :)  Stay tuned!
