"Shake Me Like A Monkey!!"

Most of you who read this are already aware of my CRAZY obsession with Dave Matthews.  If you didn't know, I LOVE him!!!  I have seen DMB a few times in concert.... they always come to Sacramento/San Diego at the end of August {my birthday!} and more than once they have been in one place when I'm in the other.  I really hope I can go to a show this summer... it's been too long!  Doesn't look like they're coming to Sac though :(

Anyway, they have a new CD and I couldn't be happier!  Ive already listened to it and it's great.  For a while they kept releasing live albums {which are great, but I'd love some original stuff David James!} and I am not going to keep buying CD's to hear the same songs performed over and over at different venues!  {Mostly because I did that for years!}  Don't get me wrong, they are AMAZING live and the only thing better than seeing DMB live is having a live album.  Especially Live at Folsom Field!  Definitely my favorite!!!  Dave's voice just makes me happy.  New album {pictured below} is Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King.  "GrooGrux" was the nickname of LeRoi Moore from DMB who died last summer.  The face in the middle is him.   

Big Whiskey, though, is a lot like a New Orleans funeral parade — mourning and zest balled into big, brawny music.
